About This Course
This specialization course in Private Security, focused on the specific competence for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) according to Law 5.688, is designed as a theoretical complement to the jurisdiction's enabling course. Its approach is based on the comprehensive development of knowledge and specific skills necessary to perform occupational roles in the field of private security, without requiring prior professional qualification.
Purpose
The main objective is to train and professionalize private security personnel, providing comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for efficient and high-quality performance. This course seeks to cover the specific needs of the general work environment and prepare participants to develop corresponding specializations.
Course Contents
Module I: Security and Surveillance: Concepts of private and public security, roles of the security guard, surveillance and patrol techniques, and actions in high-risk situations.
Module II: First Aid: Role of the security guard in emergencies, CPR techniques, wound and burn management, and other first aid aspects.
Module III: Legal Notions and Human Rights: Legal foundations, human rights, CABA-specific legislation, and actions permitted and prohibited for security guards.
Module IV: Building Security: Security in different facilities, evacuation plans, and management of specific situations in various types of buildings.
Module V: Fire Safety: Basic knowledge about fires, use of firefighting equipment, and evacuation plans.
Module VI: Basic Rules for Public Service: Human relations, effective communication, conflict management, and ethical principles in the role of the security guard.
Module VII: Weapons Handling: Theoretical concepts about the safe handling of firearms in CABA.
