Acerca de este curso

Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being as it involves our thoughts, emotions and behaviors. When patterns or changes in thinking, feelings, or behavior occur that cause distress or affect our ability to function, it may be called a mental health disorder or mental illness.

For children, mental health disorders refer to delays or disruptions in the development of age-appropriate thinking, behaviors, social skills, or emotional regulation. These problems are worrying for children and can affect their ability to function appropriately at home, school, and other social situations.

Early identification of mental health disorders in children can be challenging for parents. It's important to watch for signs and symptoms, such as changes in mood, behavior, or social interactions. Recognizing and understanding these issues is essential to seeking appropriate support and treatment.

In this course, we will explore mental health disorders in children in depth, providing information and tools for their identification and management. Through theoretical and practical content, we will learn about different disorders, their causes, symptoms and possible interventions. Support and self-care strategies for parents and caregivers will also be addressed.

The primary goal of this course is to promote understanding and awareness of mental health disorders in children, providing participants with the tools necessary to recognize and address these issues effectively. Together, we will work toward the emotional well-being and healthy development of children.
