Practical Work 1

Anatomy and Physiology of the Heart
In this unit, we delve deeper into the anatomy and physiology of the heart. Through the lesson, the structure of the heart is studied and its main functions are analyzed.

Interpretation and Analysis of the Electrocardiogram
In this unit, the interpretation and analysis of the electrocardiogram (ECG) is explored. Through the lessons, the cardiac cycle is studied and the different components of the electrocardiographic tracing are analyzed.

Course presentation
Welcome to the Electrocardiogram Technical Assistant course!

This program has been designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge in the management of the electrocardiograph and in fundamental cardiological techniques.

During the course, you will immerse yourself in a practical and dynamic approach, where you will learn essential topics for your training. You will begin by exploring the equipment used in electrocardiography and learn how to perform proper calibration. You will also become familiar with electrodes and their placement on different types of patients.

In addition, you will delve into the study of electrocardiographic waves, analyzing their meaning and their relationship with cardiovascular anatomy. You will also address pulse classification and the fundamental concepts of electrophysiology.

Our goal is to provide you with complete training in cardiological techniques, so that you can perform with confidence and precision as an electrocardiogram technical assistant. Through self-assessment questionnaires and practical work, you will be able to apply your knowledge and evaluate your progress.
